This pattern investigates complimentary colors and neutrals. I created a design that resides in 2 x 2 inch space and is related throughout the composition. Both pairs of complimentary colors are within the square. As the patterns expands from the center the colors become more neutralized.

This cut paper composition investigates the effect of vibrating edges as a result of complimentary colors as well as atmospheric perspective. As the forms grow more distant from the viewer the hues become more tinted.

Completed as part of an investigation of one color appearing as two. The orange on the red ground appears more red as a result of subtraction.
